Let guests prove they are “real princesses” by playing the Princess and the Pea Game.  Preface the game with “The Princess and the Pea” story telling, then tell the guests “Let’s see if you are real princesses“.  Place three small pillows/cushions on the floor and hide a marble or small rubber ball (for younger kids) underneath one of the pillows.  Have the girls sit in a line in front of the pillows. Let each girl have a turn to sit on each pillow and to guess which one has the “pea” under it (have the girls turn their backs to you as you hide the “pea” each time).  When each girl has identified the correct pillow, announce to that girl, “You’re right! You must be a real princess!”.   It could be very upsetting to find out your not a real princess - so you might want to “guide” young girls to ensure they pick the right pillow, or if a girl doesn’t pick the correct pillow you could exclaim “You were actually right, that is where the pea was - it is also a magic pea and must have moved to try and trick you!  But obviously it couldn’t - you must be a real princess!”
