mickey mouse pinata

The thought of crafting a pinata in the shape of mickey mouse made me a tad anxious - so I decided to make a stylised mickey mouse pinata, to coordinate with the invitation. I simply used a punch balloon and covered it with papier mache and attached plastic plates for the ears. Once it was wrapped in crepe paper streamers, I added some paper buttons. Que bonita!

This is tooo cute! I’d like to create this for my son’s 3rd birthday. Was it difficult to make? Will regular tissue wrap paper work? Thanks!
This wasn’t difficult to make - like most pinatas, you do need a little time though! Regular tissue paper would be fine - I just prefered the black of the crepe paper (the tissue paper wasn’t as dark).
