chocolate moustaches

chocolate-moustache-party-ideaThese chocolate moustaches are a lot of fun for a pirate party, secret agent party or “My Little Man” party - and are even a good giggle at a sleepover.  It is possible to purchase a chocolate moustache mould in some countries, but if you are like me and can’t get hold of one, don’t despair - they are easy to make without the mould.

How to make chocolate moustaches on sticks

You will need:

  • chocolate buds or pieces
  • zip-lock bag
  • baking paper
  • skewers (cut in half) or lollipop sticks

Print out the chocolate moustache template and place a sheet of baking paper over it (or laminate it so you can re-use it).

Put the chocolate in a zip lock bag and melt it in the microwave in 30 second intervals.  Cut a small corner off the bag and pipe over the moustache outline with the chocolate, then fill it in with more chocolate.   Place the skewer or lollipop stick in the middle of the moustache and pipe a little more chocolate over the stick.   To make the appearance of whiskers, use a fork to “brush” the chocolate.  Store them in an airtight container.

They also make great party favours - simply place in a cellophane bag and tie with a nice ribbon.

secret agent observation skills challenge

secret-agent-challenge-observation-skillsThis is an easy activity to organise for a Secret Agent party.  All you need to do is print out our secret agent observation skills challenge sheet, and either:

  • Let guests complete the sheet as an arrival activity
  • Use it in a secret agent training activity - successful completion contributes to the issuing of their secret agent certification
  • Use it in a game - place it face down in front of each guest.  Give them a signal to turn it over and whoever finds all the items, and answers all the questions correctly, wins the game.
  • Or pop it into their goodie bag.

secret agent bomb invitation

secret agent party ideas bomb invitationWhat a way to set the scene for your Secret Agent party!  All you need for this invitation is a polystyrene ball, black paint, white pipe cleaner and some orange and yellow tissue paper.  Print the details of the party onto a strip of paper and wrap around the end of the pipe cleaner.   Paint the  polystyrene ball black, and when dry, use a pencil to make a hole deep and wide enough to fit the message and pipecleaner.  Trim the pipe cleaner to a suitable length, then attach a flame made from the tissue paper.  Handle with care!
